Brown Emergency Medicine PA/NP Post Graduate Training Program
Inception Date: 2010
Program Description: Physician Assistant post graduate specialty training in Emergency Medicine administered through Brown Emergency Medicine, a nationwide leading academic emergency medicine practice with over 150 providers, including a large and well-established advanced practice provider group, providing care to over 250,000 patients annually.
Curriculum: Our Emergency Medicine APP Trainees (EMATs) undergo on shift clinical training at three Brown University Health Emergency Departments - award-winning community hospitals The Miriam Hospital and Newport Hospital, and Rhode Island Hospital, a large teaching hospital and regional referral center with Rhode Island's only Level I Trauma Center. In addition to on shift training with our APPs and Physicians in the Emergency Department, trainees will have off service training with consult services, attend weekly Brown Emergency Medicine Residency education conference and monthly Grand Rounds with nationally renowned speakers, and participate weekly in additional EMAT specific lectures and procedural training sessions

Stipend: $75,000
Benefits: Full Medical, Vision, and Dental coverage with company HSA contribution, short-term and long-term disability, company-paid basic life insurance, Retirement Plan with employer contribution (fully vested in three years if hired after graduation), reimbursement for credentialling fees, state and DEA licensure, and four weeks of vacation.
