SEMPA Best in Show Resident/Fellow Lecture Competition – Virtual Event
The SEMPA Postgraduate Education Committee is hosting a friendly “Best in Show” virtual lecture competition for PA/NP postgraduate trainees, Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 8:30am - 12:30pm Central.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
For Speakers: You are allowed to choose any emergency medicine relevant topic for your lecture. There will be a strict 30 minute time limit for the lecture. After your lecture, the audience will submit an electronic evaluation form with standardized judging criteria that will be used to determine a winning speaker. The same form will be used for all speakers.
All speakers will receive their individual ratings and feedback after the event and the winning speaker will be announced to all SEMPA members via social media and email.

For Program Directors: We encourage you to have this event take the place of your weekly didactic conference time and to offer asynchronous conference credit to all postgraduate trainees who attend the event. If you have a trainee who is interested in presenting, we encourage you to help mentor them through the process of putting together a quality presentation and preparing them to speak at a competitive event amongst their peers.
For Audience: This event is open to anyone with an affiliation with an EM APP postgraduate training program. Current trainees, former trainees, program faculty and staff, or any other persons that help with their institution’s APP training. All persons who attend the event must register ahead of time to get access to join the virtual event. Registration is free. All audience members will be strongly encouraged to fill out an evaluation form for each speaker. Evaluations will include several Likert scale questions with standard judging criteria as well as a section for open comments.
