Curriculum: EMAPC Fellows will attend weekly didactic lectures that cover general emergency medicine, critical care, trauma, skin and wound care, hand emergencies, urological emergencies, ophthalmology, ENT/dental emergencies, thoracic emergencies, GI emergencies, OB/GYN emergencies, neurologic emergencies, musculoskeletal emergencies and pediatrics. In addition, Fellows are required to participate in monthly performance improvement meetings and procedure labs. Other methods of instruction include chart reviews/continuous quality improvement and asynchronous learning. Evaluations will be completed by the APC preceptor, the Pediatric ED physician preceptor, the ED physician preceptor and by the Program Director.

Clinical Rotations: EMAPC Fellows will work 14 shifts every month at Florida Hospital in Orlando. One to two of those months will be spent in pediatric emergency medicine with direct physician supervision. The trainee will benefit from the interdisciplinary learning experiences from PA/NP mentors, physician supervision and EM faculty instruction.
