Hennepin Emergency Medicine Postgraduate PA Program

Curriculum:
Didactic
- Weekly didactic time spent in lecture and discussion on emergency medicine core content topics
- APP-specific educational lectures and skills experiences
- Procedure Labs
- ACLS renewal, ATLS, PALS
Clinical
- Rotations in emergency medicine at Hennepin with dedicated point-of-care ultrasound and procedure time
- Off-service rotations in MICU, toxicology, EMS, ENT/OMFS, ophthalmology, pediatrics, anesthesia
The schedule will be similar to a PGY-1 EM resident with rotating day, evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts as well as on-call shifts with, on average, 40-50 hours of clinical time per week in addition to didactic experiences
Clinical Rotations: Emergency Medicine, Ultrasound, EM Procedures, MICU, anesthesia, ENT, OMFS, ophthalmology and pediatrics

Stipend: PGY-1 Salary, Currently $56,353 per year

Maternity/Paternity Leave: Hennepin Healthcare’s standard policy follows the Minnesota statute on parental leave. Requests will be granted through the program director.
CME: $2,000 to cover SEMPA conference
