Carolinas HealthCare System Emergency Medicine Advanced Practice Fellowship Program

Program Description: Atrium Health’s Carolinas Medical Center is the areas level I trauma center, transplant and regional referral center offering a breadth of complex surgical and medical cases and the experience of a lifetime during this post graduate training program. The acute care fellowship tracks are 12 months in length and include: Medical Critical Care, Trauma/Surgical Critical Care, Hospitalist, Emergency Medicine, CT Surgery, Pediatric Inpatient, Hepatobiliary Surgery and Palliative Care. Duke University Physician Assistant Emergency Medicine Residency Program

Program Description: Academic Level I Trauma Center – Combined Clinical/didactic program that teaches PA residents the advanced skills, knowledge and humanistic qualities to become excellent clinicians and leaders in emergency medicine.

Mid-Atlantic Emergency Medical Associates Advanced Practice Fellowship in Emergency Medicine

Program Description: Fellows will acquire enhanced clinical proficiencies to promote a successful transition to practice through an interprofessional approach among a team of highly qualified emergency care providers and collaboration with other specialties. The fellowship will be 9 months in length beginning every March. Novant Presbyterian Medical Center is a 622 -bed tertiary care medical center, designated Level II Trauma Center, and a Comprehensive Stroke Center. Fellows will also rotate through Novant Matthews Medical Center which is a 33-bed emergency department servicing the Matthews area and Mint Hill Medical Center which is a 16-bed emergency department.
