University of New Mexico Emergency Medicine PA Residency
Inception Date: 6/27/2016
Curriculum: 5 hours/week conference, plus occasional supplemental PA education. One (1) day/ month SIM, weekly M&M, 2-3 hours small group per month cases, 2-3 hours / month research, rest faculty and resident lectures
Clinical Rotations:
- 1 block Orientation
- 7 blocks adult emergency medicine
- 1 block longitudinal emergency department resuscitation unit (adult)
- 2 blocks pediatric emergency medicine
- 1 block orthopedics
- 1 block cardiology consult service
- 1 block combined ultrasound-Anesthesia
- 0.5 blocks toxicology
- 0.5 blocks OB/GYN
- 1 block Medical ICU
- 1 block Surgical ICU
- 2 blocks elective
Program Length: 18 months
Class Size: 2 residents
Class start dates: Last Tuesday in June (or concurrent date with ACGME)
Credential: Certificate
Stipend: $57,000/per year
