Yale New Haven Hospital Emergency Medicine PA Residency

 

Inception Date: 2015

Curriculum: Five (5) hours of mandatory weekly conference time. Format includes multiple modalities including lectures, small groups and simulation.

Clinical Rotations:

  • Emergency Medicine (York Street Campus): 32 weeks
  • Emergency Medicine (Saint Raphael Campus): 3 weeks
  • Emergency Medicine (Shoreline Medical Center): 3 weeks
  • Simulation: 4 weeks
  • Medical Intensive Care Unit: 6 weeks
  • Pediatric Emergency Medicine (Yale Children's): 5 weeks
  • Pediatric Emergency Medicine (Bridgeport): 5 weeks
  • Anesthesia: 3 weeks
  • Trauma/Emergency General Surgery: 2 weeks
  • Orthopedics/Procedures: 2 weeks
  • Ultrasound/radiology: 2 weeks
  • Ophthalmology: 1 week
  • EMS: 1 week
  • Elective: 2 weeks

Program Length: 18 months

Class Size: 2 residents/class

Class start dates: June

Credential: Certificate of Completion

Stipend: $65,000/year

CME: No separate CME fund. Program pays for ACLS, ATLS, PALS, Levitan Airway Course
